BREITLING - a gentleman's Navitimer Cosmonaute wrist watch. Circa 1966. Stainless steel case with calibrated slide rule bezel. Reference 809, serial 1073526. Signed manual wind Venus calibre 178. Black dial with luminous Arabic numeral twenty-four hour markers, subsidiary silvered recorder dials to three, six and nine. Fitted to an unsigned brown leather strap with stainless steel pin buckle. 41mm. Box.

Condition Report:
- Movement is currently functioning. The chronograph counts one minute, but the hour counter has not been tested due to time constraints.
- Movement has scratches, marks and tarnishing commensurate with general wear visible when viewed under a 4x loupe.
- Dial shows some marks, luminous numerals show discolouration.
- Hands show marks with some discolouration to the luminous paint.
- Glass has scratches and marks.
- Case shows scratches, marks and some dints. Rotating bezel rotates.
- Crown has light scratches and marking. Pushers show marks and scratches.
- Strap shows marks and creasing.
- Buckle appears to be in good condition with minor marks and scratches when viewed under a 4x loupe.

This lot comes with a later box but no papers. Box has general wear and flaking and has an unmatched cushion.
