SN 19451. 23.5" barrel single shot bolt action .22LR Rifle. Rare BSA British Military training rifle or War Office Pattern miniature rifle. Top of barrel reads "Army & Navy CS Ld LONDON" , and "MADE BY / THE BIRMINGHAM SMALL ARMS Co. Ltd. / BIRMINGHAM / CARTRIDGE .220 LONG RIFLE." Marked at the receiver with BSA logo and British proof marks. Matching SN on receiver and barrel. Features rear tangent sight with lines from 25 to 200 yards, a covered blade front sight post, blued finish, smooth wood stock, and a brass butt plate -- most of these features are modeled after the standard issue British military Lee-Enfield rifle and these were contracted by the British War Department in 1906 to train British and Commonwealth soldiers how to fire the Lee-Enfield. Bore excellent, action flawless, finish approximately 95% with minor handling and service wear. Excellent.
