Welcome to Passion d'Orient: Moud is a town in Khorasan region. The items produced in this town are nearly always decorated with a close-set series of tiny Herati patterns, sometimes interrupted by a large central roundel, and sometimes over the whole surface. The background is usually beige to contrast with the blue used for the borders, and the brown. Another motif in the design which is used even though it is rarer, is the classic checked motif from the Bakhtiari tradition, but produced with greater finesse than the latter, also using silk to enhance certain details. For this type of design, very bright and brilliant colours are used. Finally, in terms of materials, the highest quality wool is used, supplied by local farms. Manufacture: hand-knotted Approximate thickness: 8 mm Era: circa 1950 Origin: Iran Pile: 100% wool Warp: 100% cotton Knot density: around 260,000 knots/m² Comments: 100% natural colours - Superior quality - Signed in several areas Comes with its authenticity certificate.
