David Shrigley and Banksy - I Am An Imbecile Balloon + Dismaland Map The iconic 'I AM AN IMBECILE' Balloon created by David Shrigley for Banksy's Dismaland Bemusement park! . Both items in good condition. Balloon Never inflated and stored folded as issued! The Balloons were only available to children under 14 at Dismaland. Not many were sold over the 5 weeks of the exhibition so most of the 200,000 visitors who went there were able to get one. Now's your chance! Looks amazing when framed The measurements of the balloons are approximately 29 inches long by 23 inches wide when flat. The little tab where you inflate with helium is two inches long Banksy - Dismaland Park map The map was obtained at the park entrance once the entrance ticket was collected. Dismaland was a temporary art project organized by street artist Banksy in the seaside resort of Weston-super-Mare in Somerset, England. Prepared in secret, the pop-up exhibition at the Tropicana, a disused lido, was a sinister twist on Disneyland that opened during the weekend of August 21, 2015 and closed on September 27, 2015, 36 days later. Banksy described it as a "family theme park unsuitable for children. The aesthetic of the "bemusement park" was potentially inspired by the "Dismayland" series of paintings created by American artist Jeff Gillette, who also participated in the exhibition. Among the structures were a large pinwheel by Banksy, Horse Scaffolding Sculpture by Ben Long, and a twisted truck sculpture, Big Rig Jig by artist Mike Ross which was previously shown at Burning Man in 2007. Works by 58 artists, including Jenny Holzer, Damien Hirst, Jeff Gillette, Jimmy Cauty, Paul Insect, Lush, Ben Long, and Bill Barminski were featured in the park. Banksy said he contacted the "best artists I could imagine" to exhibit, with two artists turning him down. Shipped secured with tracking, balloon shipped folded.
