The surrounding diamonds exhibit a mixture of cuts and symmetry, including one European cut example. Two diamonds within the design bear chips to their pavilions. Examination of the under gallery suggests the ring has undergone extensive alteration. Solder marks and areas of porosity indicate past repair or modification to portions of the mounting. The diamonds are set within palladium mountings, while the shank is marked 18k but tests as 14k gold through standard nitric acid testing.
