Held at the Palace of Versailles, French designers Yves Saint Laurent, Emanuel Ungaro, Hubert de Givenchy, Marc Bohan, and Pierre Cardin went against American designers Oscar de la Renta, Roy Halston, Bill Blass, Anne Klein, and Stephen Burrows in an epic showdown to see which country had the best designers. Nearly seven hundred guests attended including notables such as Princess Grace, Liza Minnelli, Josephine Baker, Andy Warhol, and more.
