Original dust jackets [some wear and stress at the edges: see photos]; blue hard boards, gray spines, gold lettering on spines [some edge wear/ shelf wear]; 6.3/4" x 9.1/2"; 9.1/2" shelf space; xxii + 750 +xx + 760 + xx + 752 + xx + 829 [= 3173 pages] including Index at the end of the fourth volume, some foxing and soiling- mostly the outer page edges, very good condition.

The scope of the events encompasses the entire war. A must for the Civil War historian and a great set for the buff."
