Bechar 006 Lunar Meteorite Slice Lunar (feldspathic breccia) Bechar, Algeria - (30.894°N, 3.395°W) Found: 2022 This relatively thin slab, cut to maximize the ratio of surface area to the weight of the piece, is only 22.6 grams but is actually rather large, measuring 3.5 inches (8.9 cm) at its maximum dimension. The polished surface features multiple clasts of various sizes, shapes, and colors resulting in a complex appearance to the naturally planetary-looking material. Representing the lunar meteorite Bechar 006, which was recently found in Algeria in 2022, this fine example of a feldspathic breccia is a wonderful collectible piece of the Moon.
