Very rare and museum-worthy bedspread from Burano, Venice, in 100% pure fine linen, completely and skilfully handmade with embroideries, 9 bunches and butterflies in 10 bunches. The Burano embroideries are exceptional works of art that date back to the 16th century and are among the most famous all over the world. This is a centuries-old tradition. Description: the lot has many decorations and points that required a great technical execution skill. Work made by several embroiderers and long-term work time. NEW item from 1960 ca. , never used, in excellent condition as per photos. The last few photos show the back of the handiwork. There are small signs of ageing as shown in photos, not very visible.
