Belgian / Liège INFANTRY rifle, French type, 1816-1822 T: Total length: 143 cm Barrel length: 103 cm Calibre: 17. 5 mm This rifle is inspired by the French 1816-1822 T (transformed) model, with the same measurements and calibre. All in very good condition, near mint. Metal parts: no oxidation marks, very good condition. Clear, legible markings: On the barrel, ‘E. L. G. ’ in an oval with other hallmarks. On the wood, ‘F. E. ’ (or T.) in an oval (towards the counter-lock) . Mechanism in perfect working order, complete, the cocked and half-cocked positions are well-notched, no play. Smooth, round barrel, like new.
