Better Comics #2 (Maple Leaf Publishing Co., 1941) CGC FN/VF 7.0 Off-white pages. Canada's Golden Age began in 1941 in the wake of a ban on imported US comic books. The Better Comics series was the first regular-format Canadian comic book, and some call it the first "true" Canadian comic series as it contained original material rather than reprints. The desirability of this second issue could be compared to that of an Action Comics #2 in the American comic world. Also, "Iron Man" was the first Canadian superhero, and he is featured on the cover by Vernon Miller. Surely one of the most desirable Canadian comics Heritage has offered to date!
