Black Forest Carved Bear Hall Tree Coat Rack Stand
A large naturalistically carved Black Forest bear hall tree coat rack and umbrella stand. The bear has glass eyes and is exquisitely carved and modeled as climbing the tree trunk form stand, which was originally supported by an umbrella holder formed by a bent wooden branch, the footed base composed of a stylized rocky path. The umbrella holder is included but has been damaged in several pieces; additionally, the coat rack portion which constituted the coat holder is missing, and must be considered a restoration project. Not all original parts may be present, Excellent vintage patina throughout. Fair to poor condition with losses and damage as noted above, and age related cracks and wear; sold as is.
