A Black Starr and Frost Neoclassical gilt bronze clock with the original beveled glass and mercury pendulum. The clock movement is French with a gold medal award, serial no. 6373. The movement is marked Black, Starr and Frost, New York. The clock features putti, Pegasus, and griffin motifs with foliate decoration and a porcelain dial. The clock comes with a key.
Dimensions are: 15 1/2 inches tall X 9 1/2 inches wide X 6 7/8 inches deep, 39.37 cm X 24.13 cm X 17.46 cm. All measurements are approximate.
Condition: The clock is running but was not checked for run time and accuracy. It needs nuts for the pendulum. The chime works but may need adjustment. There is some surface wear and scratches to the brass case and glass.
