Bohler Stahl Wehrmannbusche 8.15x46 Nitro Gew 98 Bolt Action Target Rifle FFL 6810 (H2M1)

[ translate ]

A Rare Wehrmannbusche 8.15x46 Nitro Bolt Action Competition Match Rifle in good to very good condition with a bright and defined bore but needs light cleaning. The action appears to function properly with minor wear to the original finish. This is a rare example of a Wehrmannbuschse match/competition rifle with Kriegsmarine markings by iconic maker Udo Anschutz. The rifle was built around a large ring Mauser action featuring a 29 1/2" round barrel with a blade front sight, locked down slide windage & elevation adjustable "V" notch rear sight, lightened trigger, five-round internal magazine, the follower rounded to accommodate a rimmed cartridge, and a swept back bolt handle with corresponding stock recess. According to the consigner it was likely made under contract to the German military and allegedly delivered to a Kriegsmarine inspector between 1937-1939. The stock is a 1908 DWM Brazilian contract stock supposedly chosen by the stockist and signed by the finisher "S. Weiss" along the toe line. The stock is also serialized to the receiver beneath the Kriegsmarine acceptance proof.
