For sale is a technological tour de force from the 1970's from Breitling. The Breitling ref. 9416. This watch has Breitlings famous logarithmic slide ruler. It has an LCD display that displays time & date and can be back-lit at the press of a button. In addition the watch provides a chronograph function and the chronograph has rattrapante functionality. For the 1970's this was a huge digital accomplishment. Rattrapante is a sought after complication in mechanical watches, in the beginning of the digital era it was as difficult to give a digital watch this functionality. The engineers at Breitling managed to do that and also managed to make the watch water resistant up to 5 atm. (because this is a vintage watch, no guarantee on it still being water resistant now) . The diameter is 48 mm, Breitling has engineered the lugs (short / stumpy) in a way that this watch, despite its size, sits comfortable on the wrist and with the integrated 20 cm long bracelet looks smaller than one would expect. The watch is on its original stainless steel Breitling signed bracelet, which in itself is a rare find. The watch has signs of wear consistent with an 38 year old watch. Registered shipping.
