Frame: 23 3/8 x 17 1/2 inches. Each painting having an apparently heavy layer of varnish to the surface concealing retouch. Examination under UV light show heavier cleaning or retouch to the woman's forearms. Each having few small instances of in-painting in the background. The male example having heavy craquelure throughout. Each with slightly visible stretcher marks along the vertical edges. Additional images available upon request.
