Description: Bronze statuette of the standing Nefertem wearing a short apron, and a lotus flower with two tall feathers as a headdress. The crown is framed by Menat symbols. Behind the crown is a hanging loop, which is a typical feature of these figures. Nefertem was the patron god of ointments, anointing oils and fragrances, but above all the youthful god of the lotus flower. H 17,5cm (without wooden stand). Third intermediate Period - Late Period, ca. 1070 - 664 BC. Darkgreenbrown patina, intact. Rare presentation!
