CABINET À DEUX CORPS

Louis XVI, with signature: A. WEISWEILER (Adam Weisweiler, maître 1778), the dial signed BOURDIER, Paris ca. 1780.
Amboina burlwood and mahogany with brass fluting and fillets. Rectangular body with fluted corner pillars and round feet. The lower part with a broad front drawer and a lateral door. The upper part with 2 mirrored doors over 3 drawers arranged next to one another, the central drawer is a secret drawer. The central pilaster strip can be removed and features a clock with a finely enameled dial. Parisian movement, striking the 1/2-hour on bell. Gilt bronze mounts and sabots. Light, grey veined marble top. Pendulum missing, requires servicing. 2 keys.
