CARTIER - a wrist watch. White metal factory diamond set case. Numbered 13897 2795 7868. Unsigned manual wind movement. Silvered dial with Roman numeral hour markers. Fitted to an unsigned black fabric strap with bi-metal factory diamond set deployant clasp. 21mm. Box.

Condition Report:
- Movement is currently functioning. We believe this watch dates from circa 1920s.
- Movement has scratches, marks and tarnishing commensurate with general wear visible to the naked eye.
- Dial appears to have noticeable marks and scratches. Dial has age related discolouration with marks.
- Hands show noticeable marks and tarnishing. Rust visible to centre of hands. Hands are extremely delicate and have become detached from dial in the past. May require attention.
- Glass has heavy scuffs and scratches with some cracks to the surface.
- Case shows significant scratching, obvious marking, some dents are present and some of the plating has lifted. One of the case screws appears to be threaded. Diamonds set on case are intact but may require cleaning. Case back shows stamp and number. Also is heavily scratched and has heavy dints.
- Crown has noticeable scratches and dinting.
- Fabric strap shows signs of wear and fraying at edges.
- Clasp is currently functioning and shows visible scratches and marks. Diamonds on clasp are worn with some missing. Tarnishing visible on inside of clasp.
- Bracelet measures approximately 16.5cm including case.

This lot comes with a box with very heavy age related wear and discolouration but no papers.

Due to opening of the case back we recommend this watch is re-sealed by an authorised technician to ensure any stated water resistance is retained.
