CASED BOARDROOM SHIP MODEL

Circa 1900 Boardroom Model of the Royal Mail Packet Ship "Aragon", built at Belfast, Ireland in 1905 and the first of the RMPS company's fleet of 'A-liners' that operated between Southampton, England and South American ports, in WWI she was operated as a troop ship and served in the 1915 Gallipoli Campaign, sunk in the Mediterranean by a German submarine in 1917; model is fully rigged with complete deck fixtures, set in a finely crafted walnut handcrafted case, Boat: 8'-2" long x 12" wide x 32" high, Case: 9'-8 1/2" long x 29" wide x 50 1/2" high, Tag on model says "Model from Landfords, London, England".
