CHINESE CARVED WOOD FIGURE OF QUANYIN IN A GROTTO
Early 20th Century. Standing before foliage amidst a grotto, carved with flowering lotus, a jar and rockwork, the goddess pours water into a stream from an extended right arm, partially painted in tones of green and red, on a shaped base. Height 30 in. Width at base 20 in. Depth 12 in. (Cond: wear to paint, some minor losses to various tips, fig. lacks a hand, and a flower, otherwise good)
