CHINESE EXPORT PORCELAIN FAMILLE ROSE MYTHOLOGICAL MOTIF TEAPOT, globular form, featuring polychrome hand-painted scene encircling the body depicting numerous gods and goddesses amongst clouds including Hera riding in a chariot pulled by peacocks, Iris on a rainbow, Perseus (son of Zeus and Danae) being cast into the sea in a chest, a winged Nike, and Zeus holding a sceptre. Qianlong period, 1736-1795. 4 1/8" HOA.
