Qing dynasty; Kangxi period (1662-1722AD); An interesting blue and white glazed ceramic plate with a central panel depicting a grasshoper perched amongst flowering plants; panels of flowers and offerings around the rim; a mark of a ritual tripod is circled by a double-ring on the base. The style of decoration and the quality of the porcelain are typical for the wares produced in China during the reign of Kangxi.
