Condition Report:
The canvas is lined, the paint surface is clean, and the varnish is clear and even. Some frame abrasion is visible in the upper right corner. Inspection under ultraviolet light reveals a band of retouchings along the right-hand margin and in the centre of the left margin, with some small retouchings scattered along the lower margin. There are small areas of strengthening in the dark background around some of the blooms, some scattered retouchings in some of the flowers and more notably in the ledge. There are also some lines of retouching to an old "T"-shaped damage in the upper left corner, approx. 4 x 6 cm. The painting is in overall fairly good condition and is ready to hang in its current state.
