COLT 1849 POCKET REVOLVER W/ CASE & ACCESSORIES, .31

[ translate ]

An early production Colt model of 1849 Pocket revolver in excellent mechanical condition with original case and all accessories. The revolver features an octagonal barrel, smooth cylinder with stagecoach scene rollmark, smooth walnut grips, and a case hardened frame and hammer. The barrel's blued finish is still visible near the forcing cone and significantly worn near the muzzle with light pitting on the right hand side. The rifling is in perfect condition. The rollmark scene of a stagecoach battle on the cylinder is in near perfect condition with almost no signs of wear. The timing, cylinder lockup and trigger break are all excellent, suggesting light use of the firearm. All serial numbers are matching and show the revolver was manufactured in 1852 according to Colt's records. Accessories include brass bullet mold with molds for casting either round ball or conical bullets, brass powder flask and two period percussion cap tins; one from Union Metallic Cartridge Co. and the other branded Eley of London. All stored in a velvet lined sectional case. Case has some internal damage to velvet lining as well as a visible repair to the lid. BBL: 5", OAL: 10", Caliber: .31 ball, S/N: 54715
