COLT LIGHTNING .38 DOUBLE ACTION REVOLVER
SERIAL 14308. BARREL 3.5". CALIBER .38 COLT. Made in 1879. This is a very early store keeper model sans ejector rod. The left side etched panel is still at least half visible and overall, the gun retains about 70% original nickel finish. Balance of finish has flaked to gun metal gray and soft patina. The original grips are excellent and fit perfectly. The gun cycles double action with sporadic hang-ups but does not work single action so will need attention. The bore is clean with sharp rifling.
