Fall Guy for Murder: A getaway car speeds off as a gory corpse topples through an open door, a note pinned to its chest with a bloody shiv: "I'm a dirty rat and got what was coming to me." This brutal image of gangland violence may have been swiped from the closing scene of Warner Brothers' 1931 film "The Public Enemy," in which Jimmy Cagney suffers a similar fate.
