Charming little tansu with many drawers, in very good original condition. To be noted: a missing piece of material on the top (a knot in the wood that popped out) , no impact on the aesthetics of the piece (on the contrary, it is part of its history) Original wrought iron hardware. The inside of the drawers are very clean, the outside of the tansu has a very nice patina that has accumulated over time. Japan, early Meiji.
