London Gazette 30 January 1919: ‘Machine Gun Corps. T/Lt. W. Hughes, (Lt., 3/6th Bn., R. War. R. (T.F.)).Wilfred Hughes enlisted as 2410 Private, Royal Warwickshire Regiment, and served in France from March 1915. He was discharged to a commission on 20 November 1915, and served with 3/6th Battalion, Royal Warwickshire Regiment. Mentioned in despatches for Salonika for the period 1 March to 1 October, 1918 (Milne’s despatch of 1 November 1918).
