Antique filled sterling silver Edwardian pair of candlesticks Made in England, Sheffield, 1904 Rd. Nr. 450348 Maker: James Dixon & Sons Fully hallmarked. The business of manufacturing silversmiths, platers and Britannia metal workers was commenced in c. 1806 by James Dixon in conjunction with Thomas Smith in Silver Street, Sheffield. In 1920 the firm was converted into a limited liability company and in 1930 the firm of William Hutton & Sons Ltd of Sheffield was absorbed into James Dixon & Sons Ltd. Dimensions - Size: 7. 5 x 7. 5 x 14 cm Weight: 459 grams Condition : Candlesticks are pre - owned, have general wear, age related marks, one of base's material is half missing, otherwise good overall condition, please see pictures.
