Étienne Carjat was a French journalist, caricaturist, and photographer known for his numerous portraits of French political, literary, and cultural figures. Through Carjat's lens, Rossini's expressive features and commanding presence are vividly portrayed, reflecting his status as one of the most esteemed composers of the 19th century. Notably, this particular print is signed by Rossini himself. – Some light scratches on surface of print, otherwise in very good condition.
