Always ahead of its time and eager to experiment with innovative materials, Cartier gave birth to some very original wristwatches like the present lot from which distinguishes itself by the unusual bell shape called "Calandre". The dial is the classic Cartier style with the black inner closed minutes track and with the same color of Roman numerals. This duotone color is broken only by the blue steel hands and the full yellow gold case. This Cartier with its asymmetric design is one of the most memorable and fascinating watch models.
