The Cartier Santos Dumont looks incredibly classy, but at second glance, its actually one of the first sport watches. In 1904, Louis Cartier designed a watch for his friend, aviation pioneer Alberto Santos-Dumont. The elegant, but easy-to read design was a hit inside the cockpit and on the arms of its legions of fans. The proportions are fantastic and the present example bridges the gap between classic and contemporary.
Condition Report: Dial is in excellent condition. Case is excellent with scratches. Movement is running at time of cataloging. Wear to the strap and peeling on one end by the spring bar. Overall, the present example is in excellent condition.
