Carved Horn Snuff Box of Napoleon Bonaparte
A Napoleonic Wars era carved horn commemorative snuff box. The box depicts the Emperor Napoleon on horseback holding a spyglass to his eye. Above the figure there is an inscription stating: 'Napoleon. A. Wagram,’ which most likely references the battle of Wagram which took place July 5th and 6th 1809. The hinged lid is finely carved in the shape of Napoleon's hat.
Dimensions are: 2 inches tall X 2 1/2 inches wide, 5.08 cm X 6.35 cm. All measurements are approximate.
Condition: Use wear, scratches to the interior.
