Catchpenny print, sheet size 41.5 x 34 cm, one large brighly handcoloured woodcut, with extensive letterpress rules of the game below the image, numbered "No. 52" in lower right corner, Turnhout, P.J. Brepols, ca. 1820, mounted at corners.
Sl. browned because of the old mount (gluespots in corners lighter); a few sm. tears Good copy. De Meyer p. 84 ff., cat. B 2, 52. Belonging tot the early woodcut prints by P.J. Brepols (1778-1845). The game is played with dice and money against the joker's seven. And 9 similar games in later editions, incl. 2 duplicates, a few in mediocre condition (Het Nieuw Arlequinspel, Het vermakelijk Harlekijnspel, Het nieuw vermakelijk Ganzenspel (2 variants), Tramway-Spel and Vermakelijk Kinderspel).
