Caucasian Dagestan Rug - 170 cm - 127 cm

Very rare and antique handmade Caucasian wool Dagestan rug circa 1910 measuring 170 x 127cm (5'6"x 4') . Rows of geometric motifs in open red field surrounded with an eye-catching floral border in pale white colour. The Islamic dated at one corner indicates the rug was belonging to the early 20th century. This is an extremely fine piece from the region and has been restored to the highest standard having minimal wear commensurate with usage and age. There is also one repair in one border which has been well blended with the rest of the rug. A stunning piece is indeed ready to be used.
