Censer with Inlaid Dragons - Bronze - China - 19th century

Provenance: Ex Oriental Art Europe Ltd Gallery. London. Prior from a British private collection. This lot comes from the private collection of Mr. J. Bahamonde who over a period of 20 years acquired his collection from various prestigious dealers. His degree in archaeology from one of the best British universities and passion for Chinese art is reflected in this beautiful censer. A well presented censer with two wire inlaid dragons over waves and confronting the flaming pearl, the rim with key fret decoration and the underside with mark. Comes with its wooden lid. Diameter: 16 cm. Condition: The bronze in good overall conditions, some casting flaws original to manufacture and some losses to inlaid. The lid good overall condition with minor age related flaws.
