A very large oval platter with an intricate pattern of wonderfully painted butterflies, insects, flowers and fruit. CONDITION There is a tiny rim chip at one end of the platter. There is gilt wear to the mouth rim but the rest of the platter shows very little wear to the gilt. There are kiln flaws such as pin holes, black spots, and a few drips on the underside edge. There are no hairlines, breaks or repairs. It must have been a cherished piece, as there is hardly any wear.
