Charles Carroll of Carrollton Autograph Letter Signed

Signer of the Declaration of Independence from Maryland (1737–1832) who was the longest-lived among his colleagues. ALS signed “Ch. Carroll of Carrollton,” one page, 7.75 x 9.5, February 18, 1825. Handwritten letter, in part: "I wrote to you yesterday; you will get that letter today by the mail I received this morning yr. letter of the 16th—I request you to seize the first opportunity to bring the resolutions respecting Mr. Browning's suit before the house and to give me the earliest information of the result that I may act accordingly." Archivally mounted, matted, and framed under Tru-Vue Museum Glass to an overall size of 14.25 x 16.5. In fine condition, with some light staining and toning.
