Charles Noke - Royal Doulton - Teapot, "Heart's Content" - Earthenware
Stunning antique Royal Doulton Kingsware teapot, topped with sterling silver. The central oval cameo depicts the "Dame", a Victorian lady holding a teacup with the motto "Heart's Content" below. Tableware is a popular area where many Kingsware pieces are found. 'Dame' designs decorated sets of teaware, which was one of the earliest Kingsware designs. Kingsware was developed by Charles Noke and produced between 1898 and 1939. Dated to early 20th century. CB & Sons hallmark is that of Charles Boyton, a revered London silversmith. Silver rim is dated to 1929. Excellent antique condition, small chip on interior of lid rim, barely visible.
