Decal manufacturer's label to underside of each example 'Evans Products Company Molded Plywood Division Herman Miller Furniture Company Sole Distributor Designed by Charles Eames'.

Literature: Eames Design: The Work of the Office of Charles and Ray Eames, Neuhart, Neuhart and Eames, ppg. 58-59, 72-73 The Herman Miller Collection, manufacturer's catalog, 1948, pg. 62 Dimensions: Condition Report: Each chair shows advanced surface wear to seating in the form of scratches and long impressions. Thin bands of loss to finish scattered along edges of each example. Three backrests and one seat have been repainted at some point, showing glossier in comparison. Hardware to each chair has been replaced as needed. Rubber spacers show minor drying associated with age, remaining intact with no visible losses or separations. A total of five rubber spacers have had rubber washers added as needed, none of which are visible when chairs are righted. Overall each example is structurally sound, showing honest wear associated with use over time.
