DESCRIPTION: Charpentier & Cia. French bronze mantel clock with white enamel face, blue Roman numeral numbering, and two open-work hands. Marked: "Charpentier & Cia. Bronziers, Paris Rue Charlot" Clock set in an ornate gilt bronze case with scrolling acanthus leaf decorations and mounted patinated figural bronze. Bronze features two playful cast Putti and a naturalistic rooster finished in a brown patina.Provenance: Purchased from Christies June 8, 2014 (Lot 93)
