Château Haut Brion 1928
Pessac-Léognan (Graves), 1er Cru Classé
u. 3h/ms, 2ms, labels badly soiled, 1 scuffed, 2 damaged at edges, short château embossed metal capsules worn, 1 corroded on top
This has always been a wine to cause comment, seemingly super-extracted and sweet. In 2014, it was all toffee and raisins, with high volatile acidity that makes it seem almost ageless. A conundrum, but a riveting one.
