Chester Fields American Bronze Eagle Sculpture 73"

[ translate ]

Large scale limited edition cast bronze sculpture by Chester Field (1945- Washington / Oregon) "Where Eagles Dare" Bald Eagles are famous for air shows. Whistling climbs, thunderbolt dives and free fall cartwheels. Sometimes two eagles will lock talons and spin through the air together. Courtship and territorial rivalry are thought to be the motives behind these aerial pyrotechnics. Rather than hunt, this raptor often prefers to steal another bird's catch in fierce aerial battles for scraps of meat. this dramatic movement of meticulously carved eagles is cast in bronze. The splash is cast of stainless steel. The silver plated heads and tails are accented with gold plated beak, eyes and feet. The rotating base is elegant black granite with brass lamination. The fish is patinated as a red land locked salmon. Measures approximately 66" x 41" with an overall height of 73" Signed Chester Fields 1991 and numbered 18/50. Good condition with mild surface wear and tarnish. Hill Auction Gallery will not ship. H.A.G. will refer a local shipper for international buyers. Local
