70s-style porcelain statue, similar to stoneware, with excellent glazing and painting in multi-colored enamels with a flambé effect, finely decorated using three different degrees of shine to distinguish the face, boots, the instrument from the clothing and the base.
The subject depicts a worker from the Daquing oil industry. The propaganda campaign to which this figure refers is "In the industry, learn from Daqing. " At its founding, the People's Republic of China was poor in oil fields. The discovery in 1959 of one of the world's largest deposits changed the fate of China's oil industry and heroically highlighted this great industrial achievement through posters and depictions.
