Chinese 19th Cent. Square Porcelain Decorated Vase 16''x8''x4.5''. A polychrome enameled vase with calligraphy and blossoming floral motifs. One side has a mountainous landscape scene, while the other has some sparrows on prunus branches. Molded foo lion head and ring handles. Partial red wax export seal on bottom. Unmarked. One ring handle has a .75'' chip, relief borders to scenics have chipping, and two slight edge chips to top rim. Qing dynasty. Collection of Dan Henderson (1921-2001), Seattle. Henderson started the Asian Law Program at the University of Washington and much of his personal Asian arts collection resides in the Seattle Asian Art Museum.
