Chinese Blanc de Chine Dehua Seated Guanyin, 19th
A Chinese Dehua kiln blanc de chine Guanyin dating from the 19th century. The sculpture comes with a wooden stand. Guanyin sits in a relaxed pose while holding a ruyi wand in her left arm. A beast head rests under her left elbow. Guanyin wears a necklace, bracelets, and hairpins. There is a 4-character mark on the back.
Dimensions are: the whole sculpture including the stand measures 9 1/2 inches tall X 7 inches wide, 24.1 cm X 17.8 cm. All measurements are approximate.
Condition: Guanyin is screwed onto the stand. She is missing one finger on her right hand. A reminder that all lots are sold as-is.
