The first, a blue ground enamel plate, decorated with auspicious symbols radiating from the central medallion of the same design encircled by a band of ruyi heads below the gilt rim, the underside painted in gilt enamel with a scroll of leafy flowers above the gilt foot ring. The second, a blue porcelain round box, covered overall in overgalze blue, painted with bats in flight amidst clouds, six-character Kuang Hsu mark to the base. {Diameter of the plate: 7 1/4 inches (18.4 cm); diameter of the box: 3 inches (7.6 cm)}.
