Chinese Carved Amber Snuff Bottle, 19th Century
A Chinese amber snuff bottle dating from the 19th century. The snuff bottle is carved with a flowering branch on 1 side and a pair of guardian lions holding engaged rings on the sides. The red glass stopper has a metal spoon.
Dimensions: 3 1/2 inches tall X 2 1/2 inches wide; 8.9 cm tall X 6.4 cm wide. All measurements are approximate.
Condition: Two significant areas of repair.
Provenance: From a private collection in New York.
