Chinese Cinnabar Box, 19th Century

A Chinese cinnabar box over a metal frame dating from the 19th century. The lid is carved with four figures in a landscape.

Dimensions are 2 1/4 inches tall X 5 inches wide, 5.8 cm X 12.7 cm. All measurements are approximate.

Condition: Cracking to the lacquer interior and some minor area of wear and loss including loss to the painting. Several areas of minor chipping to the lid. Areas of overpainting to the exterior throughout. A reminder that all lots are sold as-is.
